News and Profiles from Llangattock Staff
Position: Headteacher
Experience: I graduated with a BA in English and Psychology from West London, then completed my PGCE in Roehampton. I have worked in schools in London and Bristol before coming to Llangattock to cover a maternity leave post. 10 years later, I’m delighted to say I am still here, now as headteacher following completion of the NPQH. I have a fantastic job and am lucky enough to still teach in Nursery and Reception for two days a week.
Favourite things: My teenage daughters (most of the time), Kettle crisps and fizz (other crisps are available), my PJs and holidays.
Position: SENCO and Eco Co-ordinator
Experience: I live in Llangattock and have two daughters who both came to this school. I trained as a speech and language therapist before doing a PGCE at Swansea for Primary Education. I have previously worked in Kent, Scotland and Merthyr Tydfil. I have a particular interest in reading and spelling development and additional learning needs. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in SEN (SpLD). I enjoy nature and the outdoors, so I really like teaching science and running the Eco Club.
Favourite things: Travelling, pottering in the garden, reading, my dog, my cats and my chickens (oh, and of course my family!).

Since qualifying as a teacher I have worked in schools in Caerphilly and Cardiff, and am now really enjoying being in a smaller school much closer to my home!
Favourite things: When I’m not playing ‘taxi service’ for my two young children to gymnastics/beavers/swimming etc I enjoy running with my border collie, singing with a choir, and getting away for weekends in the caravan with family.
